Building Acoustics

With the advanced building acoustics software CadnaB, both protection against unwanted exterior noise and the optimization of sound conditions within a building can be calculated and designed. CadnaB is used worldwide by experts for the building acoustic calculation and evaluation of individual room pairs (box-to-box) as well as complete building models. In addition to conventional building acoustic calculations, CadnaB can cover a wide variety of acoustic applications thanks to the interoperability with CadnaR (indoor acoustics) and CadnaA (noise outdoors).

Airborne and impact sound insulation

Airborne and impact sound insulation

CadnaB enables precise calculations of airborne and impact sound insulation between different rooms in accordance with the most relevant calculation standards. Both vertical and horizontal sound transmission scenarios are possible. The basic box-to-box principle (one source room, one receiving room) can be extended CadnaB to calculate to larger structures such an entire building.

Interoperability

The seamless integration of CadnaA (Noise Outdoors), CadnaB (Building Acoustics), and CadnaR (Indoor Acoustics) allows for cross-disciplinary acoustic analyses and opens up complex application areas that could not be realized with stand-alone software solutions.

CadnaB: The building acoustics planning system

The above groups of applications are achieved by our CadnaB software.

CadnaB is the software to calculate airborne and impact sound transmission between rooms for an entire building including airborne sound transmission from and to the exterior via the façade walls.
