Option FLG -Aircraft Noise

New INM 7.0 Method Implemented!

The following introduction video shows some of the capabilities of CadnaA regarding handling and calculation of Aircraft Noise by using the INM Method.


With Option FLG, noise emitted from civil airports is calculated based on the most relevant calculation methods at European and International level (INM 7.0* (Integrated Noise Model), ICAN (AzB 2008), AzB (old), ECAC Doc. 29 (2nd / 3rd Edition*) or DIN 45684-1). Option FLG can be applied, without any restrictions, to calculate the noise protection areas around civil and military airports as legally required.

* INM 7.0 and ECAC Doc. 29 3rd Edition use the ANP-Database. For the time being, the ANP- database neither includes data for military airplanes, nor for helicopters.

The calculation of aircraft noise with Option FLG is equivalent to the calculation for other types of noise like industry, roads, and railways. This means that in examining the total noise e.g. for the calculation of noise maps the aircraft noise immissions can be seamlessly integrated in the overall assessment.
