Die 38. Jahrestagung für Akustik (DAGA 2012) öffnet diesmal in Darmstadt ihre Pforten. Darmstadt ist ein Zentrum der Akustik: Innovative Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Elektroakustik an der TU Darmstadt haben zu weltweit verbreiteten Anwendungen geführt. Der Begriff „Maschinenakustik“ wurde vor etwa 40 Jahren in Darmstadt definiert und geprägt. Die Psychoakustik spielt eine zunehmend wichtigere Rolle, und auch Fragestellungen der Strömungs- und Fahrzeugakustik werden in Darmstadt untersucht. Darmstadt und DAGA – das passt also sehr gut zusammen, und so freuen wir uns, Ihnen unsere Produkte und Dienstleistungen auf der begleitenden Firmenausstellung zu präsentieren.

The Acoustics 2012 conference and exhibition consists a joint meeting of the 163rd meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), the 8th meeting of the Acoustical Society of China (ASC), the 11th Western Pacific Acoustics Conference (WESPAC) and the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (HKIOA) organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics. It will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13 May to 18 May, 2012 (Sunday to Friday). THE ACOUSTICS 2012 HONG KONG meeting will provide the best opportunity for engineers and scientists in all fields of acoustics to learn about and share their work with colleagues from around the world.

The 9th European Conference on Noise Control will be held in Prague in the building of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, situated in Prague on the campus of the Czech Technical University, close to the historic centre of the city and easily accessible by public transport. The 19th International Congress on Sound and Vibration will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania. ICSV19 is being organized by IIAV together with Vilnius University. Through keynote lectures by outstanding scholars and papers given in several parallel sessions, the Congress will present an overview of the latest developments in acoustics, noise and vibration, both in theoretical fields and in areas of application. The congress will provide a forum for the international exchange of knowledge among engineers and scientists and facilitate improvements in international relations between participants and scientific organizations.

Internoise 2012, the 41st International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering will be held in New York City and is in conjunction with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Noise Control and Acoustics Division (ASME NCAD) annual meeting, is sponsored by the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE), and is being organized by the United States Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE-USA). The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and SAE International are also co-sponsoring the event. The theme of the congress is Quieting the World's Cities, and it is planned to hold special workshops highlighting city noise codes, and the New York City noise code in particular.
