Calculation of Noise Levels on Grids
Noise maps are produced by repeating the same calculation as for receiver points at points that are distributed on a regular grid. For each grid point the Level day and night (or Lden an Ln) and the ground height is saved. The maps are presented with colours that can be chosen from a palette - different palette files can be saved and loaded.
Grids can be saved, recalculated using the existing level and any arithmetic expression, subtracted and merged.
The coloured areas can be exported to Arc View and the lines of equal sound level to any application as DXF-file. The WebExport-feature of CadnaA produces exactly all the bitmap-files that are necessary to get an interactive Internetpresentation with level information.
If a noise map has been calculated and the 3D-Special view is selected, CadnaA shows a photorealistic 3D-view with the ground in colours of the noise map. The following picture shows a hilly region with the ground surface coloured by the calculated noise map.
