Steps for Implementation
For noise mapping projects according to the EC Directive the following steps for implementation are necessary:
- Data acquisition
- Control of data, conversion and modification of data
- Import of data and creation of the computer model
- Control and validation of the model
- Calculation of strategic noise maps based on EC-noise-indicators
- Determination of noise indicators at the most exposed facades
- Determination of the distribution of inhabitants versus noise-indicator-intervals as indicated in Annex VI of the EC Directive
- Determination of conflict areas, development of reduction measures and proposal of action plans
- Information of the public
