Calculation of a noise map means to calculate the evaluation parameters (noise indicators) at grid points with a spacing of 10 m and in a height of 4 m above ground. The user defines the calculation area by drawing a closed polygon and starts the calculation - all other operations are performed automatically using the configuration defined once within a prototype file. The evaluation parameters are calculated at each grid point and presented as a colored map. Grid maps for the noise indicators L_den and L_night (for road, railway, airports and industry separately, and for total noise) have to be sent to the EC commission.
