Population Density and Noise Load

The assessment of noise load requires besides the level information also the number of residents exposed to this level. In CadnaA the number of residents is an attribute of each residential building. In case no residential data is available CadnaA estimates these data in an efficient way automatically.

Features

  • Import of residential data via ODBC-connection
  • Automatic estimation of residents per building based on building data
  • Calculation of population density in specified areas of land use
  • Normalization to actual number of inhabitants

By using the command "Object-Scan", grid maps displaying population density can be generated.

Based on these data grid maps displaying the noise load are calculated. First this needs to define an expression describing the noise load on the dialog "Object-Scan".

Representation of the areal noise load by a grid map

In the yellow regions the noise load is higher as there are more residents exposed to a more increased noise level compared to the limiting value. Regions with lower noise levels than the limit are not considered by the evaluation.
