The European Commission has published a successful noise mapping study, which is based on a noise-map of the entire city of Palma de Mallorca. The noise maps were created with CadnaA.

The new CadnaA seminar schedule for the second half of 2011 is online. Our seminars offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the various features and extensions of CadnaA. In small groups all relevant topics are covered and if possible individual questions are discussed. Expert knowledge is imparted in a way that effective qualification is ensured. Seminars are held at our training facilities in Greifenberg near Munich, Germany, but can be organized at customer offices as well.

As an additional service DataKustik now makes numerous CadnaA technical notes available online for download. Technical notes regarding CadnaA noise sources, modeling, calculation, import and export as well as regarding hardware and operating system are offered to assist you with technical questions. The respective PDF documents can be downloaded in the login area. Access to the login area requires user registration. This service is available only to CadnaA users with software maintenance.

The BASTIAN version 2.3 manual was completely revised and updated. The new 360 page manual is available now as PDF document and as printed version. The 36th German Annual Conference on Acoustics DAGA 2010 took place in Berlin from March 15 to 18, 2010. The event, frequented by experts from all over the world, was a great success. At DataKustik booth visitors could experience the impressive performance and ease of use of the new release CadnaA 4.0 by viewing live presentations. The lectures of the managing director Dr. Wolfgang Probst were very well attended.

INTERGEO, the world leading trade fair for geoinformation, took place September 22nd to 24th, 2009 in Karlsruhe, Germany. DataKustik presented its leading noise prediction software CadnaA, with focus on easy integration into existing geographic information systems (GIS). CadnaA offers a lot of alternatives to communicate with or to integrate it completely into a GIS environment. From a simple data exchange by powerful interfaces up to the completed embedding of CadnaA in a GIS environment all conceivable systems can be realized.

The Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) published the results of Swiss national noise mapping and analysis. The sonBASE noise monitoring system developed by the FOEN over three years provides scientifically based, nationwide conclusions for the first time on the extent of current noise pollution in Switzerland. Heart of the sonBase system is a homogeneous Geographical Information System (GIS), based on ESRI ArcGIS, Oracle database and CadnaA for noise calculation. Comprehensive noise mapping across the whole of Switzerland and for the principle noise sources - road, rail and air traffic - was computed and statistically analysed. With a mapped area of more than 41,000 km² and covering over 75,000 km of roads, 3,000 km of railways and 70 aerodromes, the noise database Switzerland is the largest noise mapping project worldwide. more

The 16th International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV16) took place July 5-9, 2009 in Kraków, Poland. DataKustik was represented by a joined booth together with its distribution partner for Poland ACESOFT. DataKustik has delivered officially to CONAMA (Comisión Nacional del Medio Ambiente ) a CadnaA XL noise mapping package that will be used to develop the noise maps of Santiago de Chile and several other cities in the country. CadnaA has been chosen by CONAMA after an independent evaluation of the main simulation software on the market by a consultancy. CadnaA has been selected for its power and ease-of-use as the standard tool for urban planning. The software was handed over by Dr. Wolfgang Probst (Managing Director, DataKustik) to Mr. Gonzalo León Silva (Director, CONAMA) and Mr. Roberto Quezada (Head of Noise Unit, CONAMA). The deal was closed during a two-week CadnaA roadshow in South America with seminars on environmental noise in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia, that was organized jointly by DataKustik and its strategic distributor 01dB-Metravib.
