DTM
General Information
CadnaA offers the possibility to include a DTM (Digital Terrain Model) in a project. The DTM can either be imported or created directly in CadnaA. This chapter deals with creating, import and screening effects; furthermore the fitting of objects to the DTM and vice versa is demonstrated.
Contents
The first section deals with terrain modeling and shows the effects of contour lines, height points, lines of fault and the standard height.
As terrain causes screening, this effect is explained in the next section. Triangulation lines may or may not contribute to the screening; this is illustrated in the same section.
The last parts deal with fitting objects like roads to the DTM and vice versa and the work with height points (including their deletion and their conversion to contour lines).
Preconditions
The 
Basics chapter is a precondition for working through this chapter. As roads are used for the fitting of objects to the DTM, working through the chapter Roads may be helpful, but is no precondition.
Further Information
The chapter Noise Mapping provides a project example according to the EC directive. The DTM is used there, too.
